Newlands College is a very well equipped school with modern teaching and learning areas; well established extensive sports grounds and gardens. The school continues to have a commitment to appropriate learning environments and this is reflected through a programme of extensive refurbishment and the construction of new buildings.

Currently the school has a $10 million project underway which will see the complete replacement of the library, building three new science spaces, four general classrooms and bringing all the guidance and pastoral care services into one central space.  The modernisation of the staffroom is also part of this work and it is hoped that it will be completed towards the end of 2021.
