BACKGROUND
Run onsite in conjunction with UN Youth New Zealand, Model United Nations (MUN) is an interactive way for students to learn how the real United Nations operates. Each student steps into the shoes of a different country, and through debate and workshops, they develop negotiation and speaking skills in order to get the best outcome for their country on a given topic. Previous topics have included immigration and automated weapons, with workshops touching on topics such as refugees and interactive problem solving.
