Newlands College welcomes students of all cultures, backgrounds, genders and sexualities. Diversity is supported, promoted and celebrated. Groups within our school meet to support students, these include LGBTQIA+ and Queer Straight Alliance (QSA). Student led groups celebrate events such as Day of Silence and Pink Shirt Day. The school also has a gender neutral uniform policy and appropriate signage. In our upcoming building project, gender neutral toilets are a feature.
